Position: Knowledge Graph Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

• Implement and manage RDF, OWL, and SPARQL-based solutions to meet complex data modeling requirements.
• Develop and apply SHACL rules for data validation and ensure adherence to semantic web standards.
• Integrate SKOS-based vocabularies into applications and data ecosystems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional and multinational teams to deliver semantic solutions.
• Optimize and query knowledge graphs using triple stores like Virtuoso, GraphDB, or similar systems.
• Apply FAIR (Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, Reusable) data principles to ensure data interoperability.
• Conduct testing and validation of semantic implementations and contribute to technical documentation.
• Work closely with non-technical stakeholders to bridge the gap between technical and business perspectives.
• Elaborate data quality management strategies, perform quality tests, and address data quality issues.

Required Qualifications:

• At least 5 years of professional IT experience, including a minimum of 3 years in semantic web technologies (RDF, OWL, SPARQL, SHACL, SKOS).
• Solid theoretical understanding of formal languages and ontologies (e.g., Description Logics, OWL).
• Strong knowledge of SHACL for data validation and SKOS for controlled vocabularies.
• Experience with data quality management strategies and execution of data quality tests.
• Hands-on experience with well-governed open-source semantic web solutions (triple stores, frameworks, etc.).
• Familiarity with knowledge graph implementation and semantic data publishing.
• Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Fluency in English is required.
